Voûte du Canal de Bourgogne

The Voûte is an underground passageway 3333m long (3348.87m officially) that only allows boats to pass from the port of Pouilly to the port of Escommes. It was built between 1825 and 1832 to avoid having to build a dozen locks over a short distance in the heart of Pouilly-en-Auxois.
