This triple point lies between the catchment areas of the Rhône (via the Saône) towards the Mediterranean, the Seine towards the English Channel, and the Loire towards the Atlantic Ocean. Today, this unique feature is symbolised by a site planted with trees and interpretation panels.
It is located in the commune of Meilly-sur-Rouvres, identified on the IGN map at the junction of route nationale 81 (D 981) and the chemin communal de la Vachère, at the end of the "Pièce du Pâtis".
This division point was renamed the "Roof of the Western World" by the writer Henri VINCENOT.
