Le Gîte de la Voute

Welcome to this charming house located in Pouilly-en-Auxois, 1 km from the A6 (Paris - Lyon) and A38 (Dijon - Pouilly-en-Auxois) motorway entrances, and also served by public transport to the Dijon and Montbard SNCF stations. You'll be around 30 km from Dijon, Beaune or the gates of the Morvan.
The house is located on the outskirts of the village, next to the owner's house, and is completely independent. You can park your car in the closed garage provided for this purpose (or opposite the house).
The entrance is via the living room, which opens onto a fully-equipped open-plan kitchen. These rooms provide access to an outside terrace. A small corridor leads to a separate WC, a utility room and direct access to the garage.
Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, a shower room and a WC. All these rooms are independent of each other. One bedroom has a double bed (140x190) and a single bed (80x200). The other has 2 electrically-controlled 80x200 beds that can be combined to form a 160x200 bed. Each bedroom has a storage cupboard and wardrobe.
The house is very bright, with underfloor heating and recessed spotlights.

In the immediate vicinity of all shops, this gîte is ideally placed for visiting our region with its rich architectural heritage.
The "Véloroute" along the Burgundy canal passes within a hundred metres of the gîte. On foot or by bike, you can explore this 18th-century structure and enjoy leisure activities near the five lakes that feed it (Cercey, Chazilly, Grosbois, Panthier and Le Thillot). Here you can enjoy swimming, fishing, sailing and walking. The nearby Morvan Regional Park is a great place for walking.
DIJON, capital of the "Dukes of Burgundy", with its monuments and museums, is a historic centre not to be missed.
BEAUNE, capital of Burgundy wines, is a world-famous little town with a very special charm. This fortified city will astonish you with its hospices with roofs of tiles coloured with geometric patterns.
Two of France's most beautiful villages are nearby (Châteauneuf and Flavigny-sur-Ozerain), as are other medieval towns (Mont-Saint-Jean, Semur en Auxois, etc.).), numerous castles, abbeys, the historic sites of Alesia (the site of the confrontation between Julius Caesar and Vercingetorix in 52 BC), Bibracte (capital of the Aedui Celtic people in the 2nd century BC) and the sources of the Seine, will provide everyone with a wide range of leisure activities.
The discovery of our region will be rounded off by a visit to the wine-growing area. The Route des Grands Crus stretches from Dijon to Santenay, passing through some thirty villages with famous names such as Gevrey-Chambertin, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Beaune, Pommard and Meursault. You'll be able to appreciate the beauty of the "Climats de Bourgogne", and there are plenty of places to visit along the way.
