It is not possible to visit the cave.
From 20 February to 30 March 1944, around twenty Resistance fighters from the Auxois region lived in this cave, which has three rooms. They used acetylene lamps for lighting, and sometimes at night they lit a stove whose smoke escaped through a crevice. While supplies were provided by the inhabitants of Lusigny-sur-Ouche, Grandmont and Ecutigny, the maquis was surrounded on 30 March 1944 on denunciation, and ten young Resistance fighters were killed.
A monument has been erected in their memory at the junction of the route de Beaune and the route d'Echarnant.
