Mysraël (Myriam Israël) was born in St-Etienne (France) some years after WWII. In early 1980’s, Mysraël took off on her own, stepping in the art painting and went to the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Besançon where She followed during eight years, the courses of Jean Gilles, painter and sculptor. Later, Mysraël created non-academic nudes (oil, pastels, ink, mixed techniques) and started to show her works in various exhibitions in Switzerland, Italy, France and UK. Mysraël animated an art workshop in the Kibbutz Hanita in 1993. Several years later, she worked on the movement technique at the Beaux-Arts in Dijon – Burgundy - in order to express a more dynamic painting rather than static. The Klezmorims and Hassidims dancers seamed to suit her inspiration, then, her roadmap showed a direction toward movement and Jewish mysticism. Some of her work gave the feeling to have been painted somewhere in Eastern Europe during the 18th Century. The used technique of marouflage gives an additional dimension to these animated canvases.
