In the past, the church, dedicated to Saint-Pierre and Saint-Paul, was simply a dependency of Bligny-sur-Ouche, "served by a curate who lived there as if in an annex" (Bredault). The current building, which traditionally faces east, is built in the shape of a Latin cross. The transept, bell tower and choir date from the early 13th century. They were listed as Historic Monuments on 22 January 1910.
