Rencontre de l'artiste Jean Matrot et démonstration de peinture

In the run-up to the festive season, Galerie Herbert-Fort is staging a major exhibition dedicated to the works of Jean Matrot, a Dijon-based painter with whom it has developed a strong partnership over a number of years. The artist's latest works will be on show alongside an attractive selection of recent paintings.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a unique event including a large-scale retrospective exhibition, a meeting with the artist and a painting demonstration.
About the exhibition: The subject of Jean Matrot's elegant paintings is our times. It's life as we live it, but with an eye that suggests the beauty of a banal moment. Light is the path by which this painter leads us into his scenes of life and urban landscapes.
Three years ago, the artist entered into a partnership with the Galerie Herbert-Fort, giving him a permanent exhibition space and exposure to foreign collectors, with whom he has met with great success.

To celebrate the three years of this collaboration, the gallery is organising a major end-of-year exhibition showcasing recent works by Jean Matrot, as well as a weekend event combining a retrospective exhibition, a meeting with the artist and a painting demonstration.
