The temple of gossip is how one wag dubbed the wash house of Colombier. Yet we guess these words on the wall plate girder were painted at a time of full use of the wash house. The situation of the wash house, in the center of the main street, has allowed women of this "mountain" village to provide a minimum of effort. Built in the late XVIII - early XIX, this wash house is remarkable for its beautiful pillars, slabs of stone and the sobriety of its lava roof.
