Medieval relic of the 15th century with Gothic woodwork. Chapel Veilly, home of a magnificent stone statue of the Virgin Mary with the Child Jesus and sheltering under his cloak opened by two angels, characters of those times: the clergy, nobles, knights and peasants. The Virgin of Veilly, Our Lady of Consolation, is worshiped every 15 August and protection applications are numerous especially during wartime: in 1939-45, hundreds of pictures were crammed into the folds of her coat. The elders say that the only Videlien that died during the 1914-18 war had not been placed under her protection and had been killed the day of 15 August.
